Synopsis:
Tom and Evelyn, a couple of English-speaking foreign tourists, arrive in the Spanish region of Benavís in order to sail, the next day, to the nearby island of Almanzora to spend a few days on vacation.
The couple rests from their trip to the island in a bar, where they find everything as if people had left in a hurry, even leaving the chickens in the oven, already charred. While Tom goes looking for food, a girl comes in and caresses Evelyn's belly, smiling at her without saying a word and then leaving.
After eating, the spouses go in search of the hotel, where there is no adult person either. Evelyn, looking out of the hotel door, finally sees an old man who appears to be playing hide-and-seek with a girl, but, terrified, she sees how the girl will take the cane from him and hit him on the head with it until he dies.
