Synopsis:
After the death of Juárez, injustice and terror dominate in Mexico. Joe, a vagabond gunman, arrives at the border town of San Miguel, where two families are fighting for control of the territory, and enters the service of the Rojo clan. One night, Joe witnesses the exchange of gold for weapons between Mexicans and Union soldiers.
The first installment of Sergio Leone's Dollar Trilogy was also the director's first collaboration with composer Ennio Morricone. The film is a western remake of Yojimbo, by Akira Kurosawa, and is considered one of the best spaghetti westerns, which made Clint Eastwood famous.
