Synopsis:
How the West Was Won tells the story of the events that marked the conquest and colonization of the American West through the eyes of the Prescott family. Inspired by the hope of a better future for his family, the patriarch of the Prescotts heads toward the still uncivilized lands of the Far West, overcoming all kinds of risks. He dies in the attempt, but his daughters survive and witness, among other things, the arrival of the railroad and the bloody civil war between the North and the South.
