Synopsis:
Karate is more than just fighting. That's the lesson that Daniel (Ralph Macchio), a teenager from the San Fernando Valley, is about to learn from a rather unusual teacher: Mr. Miyagi, an elderly handyman who also happens to be a martial arts master. His training and these life lessons will be put to use when an aspiring Daniel faces off against Johnny (William Zabka), the skilled leader of the Cobra Kai, a group of violent kids from a karate school, in a karate tournament where anything goes for the Valley championship.
