Synopsis:

Anthony Newley ( Idle on Parade ), Anne Aubrey ( The Man Inside ), and Lionel Jeffries ( Orders to Kill ) star in the musical crime caper Jazz Boat .

When Bert Harris (Newley) boasts of his prowess as a thief, he is reluctantly recruited by a beautiful woman (Aubrey) to take part in a jewel heist alongside a violent gang. On the run from both the gang and Detective Sergeant Thompson (Jeffries), Harris and his girlfriend hide out on a river cruise.

Directed by Ken Hughes ( The Long Haul ), co-written by John Antrobus ( The Bed-Sitting Room ), and photographed by Nicolas Roeg ( Track 29 ), this entertaining blend of comedy, music, and crime from Warwick Films offers a snapshot of Britain's pre-Beatles youth culture, and features performances from the most popular big band of the era, Ted Heath and His Music.
