Synopsis:
Take the High Road to China… for an adventure you’ll never forget.
Tom Selleck (MAGNUM P.I.) and Bess Armstrong (JAWS 3-D) star in this freewheeling action comedy set in the roaring twenties. Patrick O’Malley (Selleck), a washed-up and alcoholic aviator, meets his match when he’s hired by high-strung heiress Eve Tozer (Armstrong) to find her father, long-lost somewhere in Asia. Making their way eastward in O’Malley’s WWI biplane, the disparate couple bicker their way through several high adventures, narrow escapes and encounters with dangerous bandits along the way.
With its thrilling aerial action sequences and a charming old-fashioned romance plot, HIGH ROAD TO CHINA also boasts a terrific soundtrack by John Barry and a fantastic support cast, including Brian Blessed (FLASH GORDON), Wilford Brimley (THE THING) and Cassandra Gava (CONAN THE BARBARIAN).
