Synopsis:
The arrogant and proud Colonel Owen Thursday, recently demoted, arrives at Fort Apache accompanied by his beautiful daughter Philadelphia to take over command. He wants to stand out and win honors as soon as possible so he can leave this inhospitable place that he considers a punishment, and he is willing to do so at the expense of the Indians and even his own men. Fort Apache, located in the middle of the desert, is an advanced military post on the frontier and its soldiers are hardened in the fights against the Mescalero Indians.
