Synopsis:
On the day of the inauguration of a modern skyscraper, a fire breaks out on an intermediate floor. The fire spreads quickly, leaving all the illustrious guests at the building's opening party isolated on the top floors. Two of the major production companies came together to offer a classic of disaster cinema - a genre that became enormously popular in the seventies - blockbuster productions that always combined spectacle and well-known stars. It was a great box office success - it was the second highest-grossing film of 1975, after "Jaws" - and, in terms of awards, it won 3 "minor" Oscars, although it had 8 nominations, including best film.
