Synopsis:
In 1849, a Mormon caravan heads for Utah through the desert wilderness of the Wild West. On their way to the banks of the San Juan River they are led by Pastor Wiggs and two horse traders whom they hire as guides, Travis Blue and Sandy Owens. During the journey they meet unusual fellow travelers, such as members of a traveling circus show or a tribe of Navajo Indians. Although the Native Americans initially invite the group to their camp, one of the unruly members of the Clegg family, already suspected of a robbery and other crimes, attacks one of the Navajo women and the tribe turns against the caravan. Chief Shiloh plans revenge, but Travis and Sandy are the only ones who can protect the group and guide them to their destination.
