Synopsis:

The life of Andy Dufresne, a successful young banker, changes drastically when a court unjustly locks him up for life in a high-security prison for the murder of his wife and her lover. In prison, Andy befriends Red Redding, an atypical and highly respected prisoner with whom he discovers the prison's bribery mafia and black market. He not only earns the respect of the prisoners but also that of the ruthless director of the center, for whom he will work as an accountant.
