Synopsis:
During a manned mission to Mars, astronaut Mark Watney is presumed dead and abandoned by his crewmates after a violent storm. However, Watney survives and finds himself alone and abandoned on that hostile planet. With supplies scarce, Watney must rely on his wit, humor, and survival spirit to survive and find a way to communicate to Earth that he is still alive. Millions of miles away, NASA and an international team of scientists are working tirelessly to bring the “Martian” back, while his crewmates plan a daring, if not impossible, rescue mission. As all these events unfold, the entire world comes together to pray for Watney's safe return.
