Synopsis:
Every 5,000 years the planetary conjunction opens the door to a great evil power capable of destroying all forms of life. To avoid this, the mondoshawans are responsible for keeping in a safe place the four stones of the four elements (water, earth, fire and wind) and a fifth element capable of combining the power of the other four into organic life. In the year 2263 the new planetary conjunction will occur and the powerful evil one tries to destroy the four stones and the fifth element. The latter is reconstructed in a laboratory from a recovered hand: Leeloo, the perfect being, the fifth element, with the help of an ex-military taxi driver and the representative of the mondoshawans on Earth will try to stop the Great Evil.
