Synopsis:

Gary Cooper ( Morocco ) and Ann Harding ( Holiday ) play star-crossed lovers in Peter Ibbetson , an otherworldly fantasy-romance from celebrated director Henry Hathaway ( The Shepherd of the Hills ).

Decades after they were separated, architect Peter Ibbetson (Cooper) and his childhood sweetheart, Mary (Harding), are reconnected when her husband hires Ibbetson to design a building. The relationship between the pair is rekindled until Ibbetson accidentally kills a man in self-defense and is sent to prison. Soon, he is visited by Mary in his dreams...

A favorite of the Surrealists, including André Breton and Luis Buñuel, Peter Ibbetson boasts stunning photography from the great Charles Lang ( The Big Heat ) and acting support from John Halliday ( Desire ) and Ida Lupino ( The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes ).
