Synopsis:
In depression-era Germany, Hans (Montgomery) and his pregnant wife Emma (Sullavan) – affectionately known as 'Lammchen' – struggle to keep their heads above water. Their situation is complicated when Hans' boss, who believes him to be a bachelor, demands that he marry his daughter.
