Synopsis:
Although John Robie, known as "The Cat", has abandoned his trade as a jewel thief, he becomes the prime suspect in a series of robberies of precious stones in the most luxurious hotels on the French Riviera; so he will have no choice but to prove his innocence. When he meets a capricious heiress, Frances, he sees the opportunity to unmask the mysterious thief, using the fabulous jewels of the young woman's mother as bait. However, although his plan fails and although Frances believes him to be guilty, she proves her love by helping him escape. In a thrilling climax, the real criminal will be exposed.
