Synopsis:
It's the last night of the summer of 1962 and the teenagers of Modesto, California, want to have a good time before being harassed by the responsibilities of the adult world. Among those young people are Steve and Curt, two college-bound friends with mixed feelings about leaving the family home; the nerdy Terry, who has landed a dream date with the blonde Debbie; twenty-something John, a car racing enthusiast who wonders how much longer he can maintain his position as champion, given that tonight he is scheduled to face Bob Falfa on wheels. The radio DJ will make great musical hits play on the dashboards of the gang of young people until dawn as an accompaniment to their doubts, love affairs and expectations for the future.
