Synopsis:
The Master of Suspense, Alfred Hitchcock, brought a blockbuster spy novel to the screen with shocking results in this riveting and thrilling spy story. John Forsythe plays a leading role as a CIA agent who hires a French operator named Deveraux to go to Cuba to investigate rumors about Russian missiles and a NATO spy named Topaz. In Havana, Deveraux's investigation becomes dangerous, leaving a trail of destabilized governments, murder, betrayal and suicide. After completing his mission, Deveraux returns to France, but as he discovers the double agent, the danger and suspense increase until culminating in the exciting finale of an exciting international story in whose production no expense has been spared.
