Synopsis:
1937; the monkeys in a circus howl wildly inside their cage while, outside, men kill each other in another circus: the Spanish civil war, which continues its course. The circus's stupid clown, forcibly recruited by the militiamen, ends up perpetrating, without abandoning his costume, a carnage with machetes among the ranks of the Nationalist side. Thus begins this adventure in which Javier and Sergio, two terrifying and disfigured clowns, face each other to the death for the ambiguous love of a dancer during the Franco era.
