Synopsis:
Kay Francis and George Brent co-star in this infectious pre-Code classic, directed with signature panache by Michael Curtiz. Francis portrays Ann Brooks, a socialite with a complicated marital status. She's married to an older, wealthy gentleman (Henry Kolker), while not being quite properly divorced from her unseemly ex (Monroe Owley). Ann flees to Cuba to untangle her circumstances, with her suspicious husband not far behind. He hires suave private detective Neil Davis (George Brent) to tail Ann and gather evidence against her.
