Synopsis:
In post-war Japan, a man finds a lost child on the street and takes him home, but no one wants to take him in, not even for one night. Finally, a widow with a sour character does it. The next day, the woman takes the child to her neighborhood and finds out that the father has gone to Tokyo and abandoned him.
