Sinopsis:
Kate Mackay (Doris Day) has four boys that someday will lend their names to hurricanes. A monstrosity of a country fixer-upper that has to be seen to be believed. And a poison-pen, drama-critic husband (David Niven) who sees Broadway plays under the worst possible circumstances - by being in the audience.
Kate hangs in through thick and thicker in this beloved screen comedy adapted from the bestseller by playwright Jean Kerr. Doris brings her trademark radiance to the goings on and lends her sublime vocal talents to the title song and "Any Way the Wind Blows." Spouse Niven finds his hawklike critic's eye clouded when a production of a play he wrote decades earlier threatens to bring about his comeuppance. With Janis Paige (Silk Stockings), Spring Byington and Richard Haydn on hand for snappy comic support, Please Don't Eat the Daisies is breezy family fun.
