Director Ulu Grosbard's (Straight Time) understated, star-driven romantic drama is as much a showcase for New York City during the holiday season, as it is for the undeniable chemistry between its two iconic, legendary leads. Originally titled The Rizzoli Affair by screenwriter and playwright Michael Cristofer (The Shadow Box), the film is set entirely in the New York metropolitan area and portrays the city's environs and people with care and authenticity. Locations range from the famed Rizzoli Bookstore to Grand Central Station to the Westchester suburbs served by the Metro-North Railroad. Harvey Keitel (Blue Collar), Dianne Wiest (Hannah and Her Sisters), David Clennon (The Thing), Jane Kaczmarek (TV's Malcolm in the Middle) and George Martin (Crossing Delancey) co-star.
